In today’s corporate finance landscape, no IPO or public M&A transaction proceeds without ESG due diligence or rating. This reflects the growing intersection between ESG factors and equity valuation, including share prices.
While analysts and finance professionals often claim that ESG lowers the cost of capital and boosts valuation multiples, the reality is more complex.

We invite you to our „Ask me Anything“ webcast on December 18, 2024, focusing on the impact of ESG factors on equity valuation.

This event will explore the importance of unbundling the environmental (E), social (S) and governance (G) components as they affect cash flow forecasts in different ways.
Special attention will be paid to environmental (E) factors for companies operating in the EU, with its effects on revenue, costs, and investments. To assess the Environmental impact (E) on cash flows, it’s necessary to consider the regulatory framework of the region (for us EU), the industry, peer group, as well as the company’s business model and transition plans, all of which must be linked to the company’s equity value.

The webcast will combine a brief analytical concept of the impact of ESG on equity valuation with a case study for integration of E into cash flow projections followed by a Q&A session hosted by Prof. Dr. Christian Aders, Senior Managing Director – ValueTrust Financial Advisors, expert for business valuation and strategic value management, Mehmet Özbay, Managing Director – ValueTrust Financial Advisors, expert for business valuation and Ross Allen, Chief Commercial Officer – Vyzrd, expert for valuation and risk measurement.

The session will be moderated by our Board Member Karin Sonnenmoser.
